Donate Food and Toiletries

Non-perishable food items are always greatly appreciated, as are everyday essentials, such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo, and toothpaste,  These types of items can be placed in the donation box outside the entrance to the pantry at 330 Main Street, Northport, or brought to the pantry during operating hours (see below).  (Disregard the stamped expiration dates, as often canned and boxed food can be distributed for a period of time beyond the expiration date.  We will determine what can be put on the shelves.) 

The highest ongoing needs for food are as follows:

• Canned meats, vegetables, beans, and soup

• Pasta and pasta sauce

• Cereals, including oatmeal

• Pancake mix

• Coffee and tea

• Peanut butter and jelly

• Canned tuna and chicken

• Rice (one- or two-pound packs)

• Basic condiments

We also offer our clients fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as packaged meat and poultry and unopened milk and butter.  Donations of these items can be brought to the pantry during operating hours (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.).
